Wayne G. Sharpe, Jr., CFP

Wayne brings over 40 years of financial services experience to West Branch Capital. He is a Managing Director and Principal of the firm. Prior to joining West Branch Capital, Wayne had a distinguished career in banking and real estate lending and workouts. His expertise includes high level financial plans derived from the detail and challenges of client’s financial life. Primarily, Wayne utilizes no-load funds, ETFs and Preferred Equity in his portfolio construction.

He served as founding President and CEO of First Trade Union Bank during the real estate crisis of the 90’s. First Trade was one of only five newly established banks to survive that period. Previously, he served as Vice Chairman for Cambridge Savings Bank, where as a Member and Trustee on the Board of Investment he was the bank’s chief operating and loan officer.

Wayne began his career in the U.S. Army National Guard, where he rose to the rank of Captain, Artillery.

Wayne has served as a Senior Adjunct Instructor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he taught courses in Condominium Development and Real Estate Finance.

Wayne is a CFP, holds an M.B.A. from Babson College with distinction and graduated with honors from the Graduate School of Savings Banking, Brown University. He earned his B.S. (Finance) with Highest Honors from Northeastern University.
