Wayne G. Sharpe, Jr., CFP®

Wayne brings over forty years of financial services experience to West Branch Capital, where he is a Managing Director and Principal of the firm. Prior to joining West Branch Capital, Wayne had a distinguished career in banking and real estate lending and workouts. He served as founding President and CEO of First Trade Union Bank during the real estate crisis of the 1990s. Previously, he served as Vice Chairman for Cambridge Savings Bank, where as a Member and Trustee on the Board of Investment he was the bank’s chief operating and loan officer. Wayne began his career in the U.S. Army National Guard, where he rose to the rank of Captain, Artillery.

Wayne has served as a Senior Adjunct Instructor at the Harvard Graduate School of Design, where he taught courses in Condominium Development and Real Estate Finance.

Wayne holds a B.S. (Finance) with Highest Honors from Northeastern University and an M.B.A. from Babson College. He graduated with Honors from the Graduate School of Savings Banking, Brown University. He was granted the CFP® certification by the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards, Inc in 1997.
